The
goal of this process is producing a revision of the
existing Plan, not the development of a whole new plan—unless
county citizens think that is necessary. We are particularly
concerned with a revision of the strategies and benchmarks
as presented in the current plan. We will also include
a policy revision and a brief summary of our accomplishments
to date.
Steps
in revising the Benton County Cultural Plan:
September
- Develop cultural survey to be sent to
the 220 cultural groups in Benton County
- Mail September 4 along with request
for letters of intent for 2007/08 grants
- Post survey on BCCC web site
- Develop a second survey
for the general public to be posted on BCCC web site
and promoted by a press release in the Corvallis Gazette-Times,
the OSU Barometer,
the regional arts council's newspaper, and the Benton
County Museum newsletter.
- Provide copies of individual
survey to Coalition members
to distribute to individuals who live in their
part of the County.
November
and December
- Write
draft revision of the Plan from the results of our
two surveys
January
- Hold
public meetings in Corvallis, Philomath, and south Benton
County for comment on plan revisions
February

a draft revised plan to the Coalition for recommendations
and approval

final draft of revise plan to Oregon Cultural Trust by
Feb. 28, 2008
